Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Masai Mara
6:00 AM. Depart Nairobi for the Masai Mara. Rift Valley viewpoint stop. Arrive and begin afternoon game drive across the rolling savannah — lions, elephants, wildebeest herds, and the Mara's famous big cats.
Full Day Masai Mara
Dawn to dusk in the Mara. Mara River crossings (seasonal), predator hunts, vast herds. The Mara is East Africa's premier wildlife destination. Bush lunch. Afternoon explores the Mara Triangle.
Masai Mara to Amboseli
Morning game drive. Then drive south to Amboseli National Park, arriving by late afternoon. The first views of Kilimanjaro — Africa's highest peak — rising above the plains are stunning. Afternoon game drive among Amboseli's famous elephant herds.
Full Day Amboseli
Full day in Amboseli. The park is famous for its large elephant families photographed against Kilimanjaro. On clear mornings, the mountain dominates the horizon. Observation Hill offers panoramic views. The swamps attract hippos, buffalo, and diverse birdlife.
Amboseli — Cross Border to Ngorongoro
Morning game drive. After lunch, drive south to the Namanga border crossing. Seamless handoff to your Tanzanian guide and vehicle. Continue to the Ngorongoro crater rim, arriving by late afternoon. Check into your crater-rim lodge.
Ngorongoro Crater Floor
Dawn descent into the crater. All Big Five — black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, leopard. Flamingos on Lake Magadi. Hippos in the Mandusi Swamp. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. This is arguably the best single game-viewing day in Africa.
Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Drive through the highlands to the Serengeti. Stop at Olduvai Gorge. The Serengeti opens before you — endless golden plains. Afternoon game drive.
Full Day Serengeti
Full day Serengeti game drives. Migration herds, predator tracking, kopjes, river crossings. The Serengeti is the crown jewel of the journey.
Serengeti Morning — Return to Arusha
Final morning game drive. Return to Arusha through the highlands. Arrive by late afternoon.
