Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Fly Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

## Scenic flight ~1 hr from Wilson Airport 7:30 AM. Check in at Wilson Airport, Nairobi's bush-aviation hub. Your small Cessna Caravan carries just 12–14 passengers — every seat is a window seat. As the aircraft lifts off, the Great Rift Valley unfolds below in a patchwork of farmland, volcanic craters, and shimmering soda lakes. Within the hour, the Mara's golden plains appear beneath you. Your guide meets you on the tarmac with a 4x4, and the safari begins immediately — giraffe lope alongside the track, zebra scatter ahead. Check into your luxury tented camp, freshen up, and enjoy lunch overlooking the savannah. The afternoon game drive takes you deep into the reserve. Lion prides rest under acacia trees, elephants move in family groups, and your guide navigates toward the Talek River where hippos wallow and crocodiles bask on sandy banks. Return to camp for sunset drinks and dinner.

Day 2

Full Day – Masai Mara Explorer

## Full day game drives 6:00 AM. Wake to birdsong and distant hyena calls. Head out for the dawn drive — the Mara is electric at first light. Cheetahs set out on morning hunts, and leopards may still be visible before retreating to the treetops. Your guide takes you along the Mara River, the ecosystem's lifeblood. Enormous Nile crocodiles lie motionless on the banks, hippo pods surface and submerge. During the Great Migration (July–October), thousands of wildebeest hurl themselves across the current here. Mid-morning, we explore Musiara Marsh — a renowned big-cat territory where BBC and National Geographic have filmed iconic footage. Lion prides patrol the marsh edges, serval cats hunt in the tall grass. Bush picnic lunch, then afternoon drives into the Mara Triangle for panoramic views from the Oloololo Escarpment, or across the southern plains where vast herds of buffalo and topi graze. The day ends with a golden sunset painting the sky. Return to camp for dinner.

Day 3

Final Safari & Fly to Nairobi

## Morning game drive + scenic flight ~1 hr 6:00 AM. Your last morning in the Mara deserves to be savored. Head out early as golden light spreads across the plains — prime time for photography with dramatic silhouettes of acacia trees and grazing wildlife. Your guide focuses on any species you haven't yet seen, perhaps tracking a black rhino in the thickets or locating a leopard in a sausage tree. Enjoy the quiet of the bush — the crunch of tires on earth, a distant lion's roar, the rustle of wind through grass. Return to camp by 9:00 AM for breakfast and checkout. The drive to the airstrip yields final sightings — warthog families trotting alongside, raptors circling overhead. Board your return flight and watch the Mara shrink below — the winding river, scattered herds, the vast golden carpet of savannah. Touch down at Wilson Airport, Nairobi, around midday with three days of extraordinary Mara memories.
